How it began
The Zimbabwe Association of Pension Funds was formed following the promulgation of the Pension and Provident Funds Act in 1976. The inaugural meeting was called by J.S. Robins of Rio Tinto, with the aim of gaining Government recognition for the Association as the sole body representing the pension funds industry.
Nearly fifty years later, that purpose is unchanged: to coordinate the industry, represent its members and promote the importance of pensions for every Zimbabwean.
